SnapCab Principles You Will Learn About

Rewarding for Mistakes

At SnapCab, mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth rather than setbacks. We reward team members for recognizing and sharing their mistakes, using our Gemba boards to turn these moments into valuable lessons. This approach fosters continuous improvement, leading to less stress, better collaboration, and a more productive, happier team.

Fix What Bugs You

We believe that no issue is too small to address. At SnapCab, team members are empowered to take ownership of their work environment by fixing what bugs them. This proactive approach encourages the creation of lasting solutions and helps to streamline daily challenges, making work more efficient and satisfying.

Fear-Free Culture

SnapCab promotes a culture where everyone feels safe to be their authentic selves. By rewarding mistakes rather than punishing them, we eliminate the fear of failure. This openness encourages transparency, reduces stress, and enhances collaboration, leading to a more positive and productive work environment.

Lean Terminology

The philosophy of continuous improvement. A culture of kaizen encourages workers at all levels to continuously refine and improve their workplaces and processes.

Meaning “the place where things happen,” Gemba is the concept of identifying problems at their source. We’ve developed our Gemba system to provide all workers with a platform to report problems as they arise and suggest solutions.

Another word for a mistake, turnbacks are anything that interrupts the flow of work. If a mistake reaches a customer, it becomes an escape. Our Gemba boards are used to quickly identify and eliminate turnbacks and prevent escapes.

The 5Ss: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain – outline a methodology for how to reduce waste and streamline your workspace. After conducting a 5S, an area should be clean, uncluttered, safe, and well-organized.

Kanban is a method for regulating the flow of supplies and materials. Our color-coded kanban system allows for the automatic replenishment of needed goods and prevents out-of-stocks.

Lean Principles for Life

Lean principles are not just limited to manufacturing — they can be applied to any industry and any aspect of life. You can use Lean to reduce waste, create order, and improve your quality of life. Whether in your professional or personal life, embracing Lean can help you better yourself, reduce stress, and positively impact your community.
